Clinics
Antenatal Clinic
Monday am at Penrhyn Bay and Friday am at Deganwy.
Patents are seen by the midwife at the clinics by appointment.
Baby Clinic
Wednesday 2.00pm
The baby clinics are run by a health visitor and allow an opportunity to
discuss problems, eg sleeping, feeding and child health worries.
Asthma/Diabetic/Chronic Disease Management Clinics
These are run by the practice nurse, by appointment only.
Family Planning
Contraceptive care is provided by all our practice nurses during normal surgery hours.
Nurse Gibson is a fully trained family planning nurse.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgical procedures can be carried out at the surgery by
appointment and the doctors will be happy to advise you on this.
Non-NHS Examinations
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licence, by appointment
outside of surgery hours. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. The fees charged
for these services are in line with the BMA-recommended charges.
Social Worker
A social worker is available on Thursday at Penrhyn Bay and Tuesday at Deganwy.
Travel Immunisation / Vaccinations
Please make an appointment at least eight weeks prior to your holiday to
ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations
which are not covered by the NHS. A list of these charges is held at reception.
Flu Vaccination
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or
kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes.
Please contact the reception staff in October for details of the vaccination dates. If you
are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit will be arranged to undertake this facility.
Pneumonia vaccination is available to all patients over the age of 65.
Yellow Fever Vaccinations
Our surgery is an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
